Animation for the poem by Jacek Podsiadło, made for the Goethe-Institut Warsaw
Podsiadło both registers and lyrically transforms the content of everyday experiences and affirms authenticity,
proclaiming skepticism and distance to institutions and rituals of public life.
The perverse title of the poem and its content inspired me to create a story about returning to my childhood. The heavy atmosphere and the clock rhythm referring to the passing of time and heartbeat were to evoke a feeling of anxiety and discomfort - the emotions that accompanied me while reading the poem.
